Question:
How do I set up and use the Happauge WinTV ACQ with my Happauge WinTV card?
Resolution:
Step 1: To test project Install TV card into PC with editor installed and copy the Happauge WinTV ACQ to the Acquire ACQ folder on you PC.
Step 2: Install the Happauge WinTV8 SDK version 33090 software
Step 3: Start your editor and look for the Project name: Box - TV Template.
Open the project. If the job is for a PC in a new location you may need to add a blank page then copy the ACQ to it. Give the page a meaningful name.
Step 4: Configure the ACQ by double clicking on the page. The following will appear;
Step 5: Click scan now for the ACQ to discover all of the TV channels. Remember to connect to a TV antenna.
(scan will take 15 - 20 mins).
Once this has finished, click on the drop down to select a channel to preview.
Save settings
Step 6: Remove TV card and install it into your player PC.
Install the following software;
Acquire Player
Happauge WinTV8 SDK version 33090 software
WinTV8_Setup_34180 software
Ensure that your player has been registered on the Plus network and that the customer has a valid licence.
deploy your project to your player.

Ensure Windows is up to date and that an image has been created.
TIP: If your getting a black screen, check the TV channel listing to ensure it's trying to show TV channels for the area that your in (eg. BBC ONE E Mid and not BBC ONE North)
