How It Works

Player PC

All players on your network are PC with one or multiple outputs (eg LED screens attached).

Each player PC can have a backup PC to use if it fails.

  • Each player PC has Acquire DX Player installed.
  • An advanced version of the AcquirePremier.exe plays an Acquire project.
  • Players belong to groups.

Acquire Project

An Acquire Project must be created to play on the Players.

The Acquire project contains:

  • A file describing the player's group and its outputs.

  • Playlists of content for the player's group.

  • A schedule of when to play those playlists.

  • Display mappings.

  • The content for those playlists.

These are typically configured as part of the initial setup and are configured on the Editor. When deploying, these files are sent to the players.

  • The Acquire project is manage by the Acquire Advanced Editor
  • The Editor can also be used to switch playlists for a group, and monitor player status.
  • Players belong to groups.
  • Each group has its own playlists.
  • Events can be scheduled to change group playlists at certain dates and times.
  • Group, players, and outputs are defined in a "groups.XML".
  • This must be initially setup upon initial install to describe your system.
