Home and Navigation
What is the Home page?
The Home page is the starting point after signing in. Select the Beacon logo or Home in the side navigation to return to it.
The page shows cards for the areas your account and current project can access. Selecting a card opens that area. The available cards can change with your permissions and selected project.

Header
The header contains:
- Beacon logo — returns to the Home page.
- Project switcher — selects one project or All Projects.
- Profile menu — opens Preferences or signs out.
Most content belongs to a project. Select a project before creating content so forms and choices are limited to the correct project. When All Projects is selected, supported list pages combine accessible records and show a Project column.
Project Settings requires a selected project.
The selected project is retained for later visits in the same browser.
Side navigation
Use the side navigation to open the CMS areas available to you. The control at the bottom collapses or expands the navigation.

The normal content workflow is:
- Create a Layout.
- Create an Information Display from the Layout.
- Add Information Displays to a Playlist.
- Assign the Playlist or individual Information Displays to Devices.
Leaving forms
Beacon warns when you try to leave supported forms with unsaved changes.
Confirm only when you intend to discard the edits.
