Create a new Playlist

How to Create a new Playlist

  1. Open Playlists.
  2. Select New Playlist.

Build the playlist

  • Name — required, up to 200 characters.
  • Project — required when no project is selected in the header.
  • Information Displays — available displays are shown as selectable tags. Select a tag to add that display to the playlist.
  • Playlist — the ordered items. Drag the handle at the start of a row to reorder it.
  • Duration — a per-item override. Leave it blank to use the Information Display's default duration.
  • Delete icon — removes that item from the playlist.

 The same display should normally be added once. Check the item list before saving and place it in the intended playback order. 

 The current creation request saves the item order but not duration overrides entered at this stage. After creating the playlist, open Edit and save any required overrides.

Although Beacon can create an empty playlist, an empty playlist cannot be assigned to devices. Add at least one usable Information Display before assignment. 

Save the playlist

Select Create. Beacon validates the name and project, creates the playlist and returns to the Playlists list. Select Cancel to leave without saving.
