Create a Device/Kiosk

Navigate to devices

 

 

NOTE: Before you can create a device, ensure you have a project set up and ready to populate.

 

 

  • Click on the 'New Device' button found at the top right of the view
  • Input a descriptive kiosk name.
  • Select the Wayfinder project you wish the kiosk to be associated with.
  • Define the Kiosks rotation.
    • 0 = North,
    • 90 = East,
    • 180 = South,
    • 270 = West

Decommission for Removal/Replacement

  • Navigate to Devices - Click the button.
  • Select Decommission
  • Select Decommission in the warning message pop-up
You will see in the Plus Network ID N/A Decommissioned
 

Delete a Kiosk

You can only delete a unit/device once it has been decommissioned on the Wayfinder CMS.

 

Test Mode

A demo device is typically used for testing, map changes before they are pushed to the whole estate.

Only one demo device is allowed per account.

 A demo device will download a special feed, and it will not report back any analytics.
 

 Note: 

Its advisable to create the kiosk on the CMS first so when you run the installer and go through the log in process and chosen the Organisation/Location you see the Unit.
