Acquire Player not showing when using Remote Desktop Connection

When I try to use Windows Remote Desktop Connection to connect to a PC with Acquire Player installed on it, I can only see the Windows desktop and it appears that System Sentinel has not loaded either. Why?

Resolution:

As a Remote Desktop Connection does not create a User Session when you log in, the System Sentinel service is not loaded and therefore Acquire Player will also not be loaded.  For your information a Remote Desktop Connection will load Windows in Session 0 (SYSTEM).

If the Acquire Player is activated on the PLUS! Network and is currently online and you have access to Site Manager, we recommend initiating a Reverse Access connection to view or control the Acquire Player.

Please note: this is also applicable if using a Windows 10 Virtual Machine and using the Enhanced Session in Hyper-V, as this loads a RDP Session.  In which you should use a Basic Session (see corresponding Toolbar button).
